新種獎學金得獎人謝函
Natalie Wu-Woods (吳佳美)

Dear Dr. Jung Fu Wu,

I am writing to thank you and the SDTCA for sponsoring and funding scholarships for college students. I was very happy and honored to be a recipient of the 2016 San Diego Taiwanese Cultural Association / Cenzone Tech Inc. Scholarship.  Thank you for your financial generosity, as this scholarship will assist in achieving my education and career goals, and increase my chances of success.  To save money, I had chosen to attend the local community college before transferring to university.  The SDTCA/Cenzone Tech Inc. Scholarship reduces my financial burden and will pay for my college tuition this year.

I am currently a sophomore at Irvine Valley College.  I have strived to excel in academics and have maintained a 4.0 GPA, while majoring in both Biology and Engineering. I have always been interested in science, and won awards at the California State Science Fair and Orange County Academic Decathlon.  This year, I have been working as a lab assistant and a teaching assistant for biotechnology programs at Irvine Valley College, Santa Ana College and Fullerton College.  I have enjoyed helping other students learn science skills.  But I hope to transfer to UC-San Diego next year, and pursue a career in biomedical engineering or biotechnology.

Your generosity has inspired me to help others and give back to the community.  I hope that one day I will be able to help students achieve their goals just as you have helped me.  Thank you again for your support.

Sincerely,
Natalie Wu-Woods
