3. Lee, Yuju Eric (李毓儒), University of California, San Diego, Major: Communications; Minor: Business Management.
I received the scholarship two years ago and it had aided me further towards achieving my goal in optometry. The extra cash meant that I had less to worry about my livelihood and could focus more on my studies. I’m currently interning for a Taiwanese-owned contact lenses distributor and had gained experience in customer support, management, accounting, and many more. However, being focused in my goal doesn’t mean neglecting my hobbies and interests. This past summer, I became proficient in programming languages Java, Python, C++, and C#, took up picture editing and video editing, and began learning Japanese. I will be graduating from UCSD this year and I’ll surely live up to the expectations that the late Mr. Chen had placed on me.I received the scholarship two years ago and it had aided me further towards achieving my goal in optometry.
